Watch the Carnival Parade |
on Sunday and Monday |
On Sunday 14th of feb and Monday the 15th, 12 samba groups
parade along the Sambodromo hoping to impress the
judges enough to win the grand prize for the year`s
Samba Championship.
To watch, you can either get tickets to regular seats
or you can get tickets to sky boxes. (see
map ) Regular seating goes for US$260 for the
bad sections (poor visibility, sound or crowd), while
the good general seats go for as high as US$900 (best
visibility, best sound, nice people, no losers). Skyboxes
go for US$1860 per person, but sometimes include drinks
and all you can eat food.

Skyboxes and Box Seats
Skyboxes are rooms with big
windows facing the Sambodromo alond sector 2 (view
map below). These fit from 6 to 20 people.
Box
Seats are tables on the ground level of the parade,
offering closeness.
All
tickets purchased from us include transfer from
Ipanema in air conditioned bus and bi-lingual tour
guide.
