The Easy Carnival Party Schedule:

Where to be and when

 

Friday:

  1. Hit a Block Party (see schedule), starting at 6pm.
  2. Quick dinner.
  3. Head to Lapa's street parties and samba clubs.

Saturday:

  1. Beach (if sunny, massage if not) during the day.
  2. At 4pm, check out another Block Party in Ipanema (easy to find, you can't miss it).
  3. Put on your costume (available here) and meet our group at the subway station in Copacabana at 7pm.
  4. Parade in front of millions as it is broadcast live allover Brazil. (check out last year's video and photos)
  5. Then watch the rest of the parade from the stands.

Sunday:

  1. Beach or massage all day, saving your energy as you'll be partying later on.
  2. Then at night, after a light dinner, head to Carnival Ball in Scala or Help.

Monday:

  1. Beach or massage.
  2. Block party in Santa Tereza.
  3. At night, either parade again (as most people prefer to do) or watch the show from the stands. (Tickets)

Tuesday:

  1. Daytime Boat party.

Wednesday:

  1. Go to a churrascaria for lunch and watch the judges rate the schools on TV, Globo channel. If the school you paraded in came top 5, you get to parade again on Saturday, during the "Champion's Parade".
