New Year's Eve in Rio de Janeiro

NYE in Rio is huge, as most of Brazil and South America head this way to party at some of the most oppulent parties in the world.

We have chosen to promote what we think will be the 2 best parties (cost x benefit) in Rio for New Year's Eve this year:

And since Rio gets 3 million people on Copacabana beach at midnight to watch the fireworks, we figure this is a sight no one can miss, so we have selected 2 parties that are close by, allowing you to watch the show, then head to these parties and rock it till 8 am, as is customary.

They will be delivered by our staff on the 30th and 31st, in hand, so you can be sure not to be left "in the street" literally. You can also pick them up from our office in Ipanema (R. Visconde Piraja 48 / 702).

Jockey Club NYE Party

Shows with Rio’s favourite percursion group, the Monobloco, along with Mr. Catra, one of the most respected brazilian funk musicians. In the other arena is Salgueiro Samba Group’s drum entroupe. DJ Negralia and DJ Patife (our favourite) dishing out electro-samba.

A truley kick-ass party with two floors that’ll make you go crazy. All you can eat of the finer foods, from finger to sushi to champagne, whisky,beer, fruit juices, caipirinhas and energy drinks all included! An all out breakfast before you go home too. Plenty of waiters so you can concentrate on partying.

Palaphita Kitch

The ideal NYE party for couples, where you won’t be harassed by “in heat” teenagers, street beggars or depressed old farts dancing.

Facing the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, you’ll have the night to absorb one of Rio’s most beatiful views, along with the floating xmas tree and midnight fireworks show. Amazonian food with all you can drink first class drinks, from sake to saikirinhas with hard to find amazonian fruits.

In an outdoor lounge setting with plenty of sofas, trees and thatched roofs and torches, you’ll soak in peace and beauty. And if that’s not exciting enough, free baloon rides are included for all NYE party members. 3 Balloons will be going up 100 feet all night, so all couples can get a “unique view” of Rio and NYE.
