| Step back in time
visiting this charming hilltop neighborhood...
Rio has many facets: rich, poor, jungle,
urban, and.... quaint. Yes! Santa Teresa is one of the most pleasing
neighbourhoods in Rio, specially due to its small town feel, added
to the fact that it is on a mountain overlooking the rest of the
city. What`s more, it is colonial, so most of the house still have
that century old charm.A walking tour will do the trick: you’ll
get a good idea about the local history while riding the trolley
and checking out the main attractions. Rio Hiking is the only game
in town for this. They have walking tours twice a day, so if the
weather is cloudy and the beach isn`t that attractive, call them
to arrange your tour.
